Staff Reporter :Eminent citizens at a solidarity programme on Friday said that that University Grants Commission (UGC) official killing was a well planned incident.They made the comment while addressing a rally showing solidarity to the medical admission seekers protest at Shahbagh in the capital.Gonoshasthaya Kendra founder Zafrullah Chowdhury said that basically the incident took place to hide real culprits Following the issue, he also demanded judicial inquiry.He also said that the students are staging peaceful movement on roads to meet their logical demand and the government should accept the demand.In the programme, writer and columnist Syed Abul Maksud, Jahangirnagar University Prof Anu Muhammad, BUET teacher Hasib Chowdhury, Chief Coordinator of Ganasanghati Andolan Zonayed Saki, Ganajagaran Mancha spokesperson Imran H Sarker and other attended in the programme.Earlier, on Thursday evening, an official of University Grants Commission (UGC), Omar Siraj, who was arrested for allegedly helping candidates to cheat during medical admission test, died in RAB custody.
