Chairman of University Grants Commission (UGC) Professor Abdul Mannan on Thursday left Dhaka for India for two-day official visit with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Professor Mannan will attend the inaugural ceremony of the newly constructed Bangladesh Bhaban at Shantiniketan, said a UGC press release on Thursday.
Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate Bangladesh Bhaban tomorrow. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Benarjee will also present at the ceremony, the release added.
UGC Chairman will also attend the convocation ceremony of Visva Bharati University and Kazi Nazrul University at Asansol on 25 May and 26 May respectively.
