UAE dump Bangladesh 6-1 in AFC U-16 Qualifiers

The visiting United Arab Emirates (UAE) dumped hosts Bangladesh by 6-1 goals in the Group D AFC U-16 Qualifiers held on Friday at the Bangabandhu National Stadium.
In the day’s match, the UAE took early lead in the 12th minute as forward Abdullah al Naqbi’s right footer from the top gave no chance to Bangladesh custodian Nur Alom to react (1-0).
Six minutes later the lead doubled by UAE skipper Majed Rashid as he placed a low shot into the far post net (2-0).
Bangladesh had nothing to do in the 22nd minute apart from going three down when defender Sultan Saeed out jumped his marker to head a curved corner of Ali Saleh Amro into the near post (3-0).
Al Saleh Amro further widened the margin for UAE scoring the fourth goal in the 39th minute as he capitalized a low cross off Mohamed All Khamis and placed the ball into the net (4-0).
After the resumption, the host able pulled one back in the 52nd minute with midfielder M Shawon’s cracking right footer on a back pass of Sarwar Zaman Nipu crashed into the right hand post of UAE custodian Ak Haeth Salem (4-1).
Majed Rashed scored the fifth goal for UAE converting a spot kick in the 62nd minute (5-1) and completed his hat-trick scoring the sixth goal in the 69th minute (6-1).
The UAE will face Saudi Arabia in the last group match on Sunday (Sept 20) at the same venue.
Earlier, Bangladesh suffered a 1-5 goals defeat to Saudi Arabia in their opening match of the tournament.
