Preparations have been completed by district election officials to hold third phase of upazila polls in Sadar upazila and Mohanganj upazila tomorrow (March 15).
The returning officer’s office sources here said all kind of election materials including ballot papers, ballot- boxes and irremovable ink- boxes were sent to the 105 vote centres in Sadar upazila and 52 vote centres in Mohanganj upazila.
All the officers assigned by the election commission for conducting the upazila polls, have been asked by the returning officer to reach the vote centres for completing all the preparatory works for holding a free, fair and credible election, the sources said.
A total of 2,30,892 enlisted voters including 1,15,269 female are expected to cast their votes through 420 polling booths of the 105 vote centres in Sadar upazila and 1,05,818 voters including 52,625 woman voters are expected to exercise their right of franchise through 208 polling booths of 52 vote centres in Mohanganj upazila, the sources informed.
