Two sisters’ slit-throat bodies found in Jamalpur Mother, cousin, grandfather picked up

Two minor sisters were allegedly slaughtered by some unidentified miscreants in their own room in Telibari village of Jamalpur sadar upazila on Tuesday night.
The deceased have been identified as Bhabana Akhtar, 13, Nurunnahar Lubna, 9, daughters of Shamim Ahmed, an expatriate in Saudi Arabia.
Bhabna was a student of Class IX at Puglai Mannafia High School and Nurunnahar Lubna was a student of Class II at Matiur Rahman Kindergarten School, said Md Delwar Hossain, Superintendent of Police (SP) of Jamalpur.
Police recovered the slit-throat bodies of two sisters on Wednesday morning, the police official said.
We have arrested a cousin of the deceased and their grand father on suspicion in connection with the sensational murder, while the deceased’s mother Taslima Begumhas was being interrogated to get information regarding the incident, the SP said.
Quoting the locals, Jamalpur Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Nasimul Haque, said “Locals found throat-slit bodies of Bhabna and Rubna lying on the floor inside their house at about 8:00am and called police. On information, police recovered the bodies.”
 “The deceased’s mother Taslima Begum went to the district town with her youngest daughter on Tuesday morning instructing her daughters to go to the school. After returning home on Wednesday morning, she became unconscious finding the slit-bodies of her beloved daughters,” the police official said.
The bodies were sent to district Sadar hospital morgue for an autopsy, the OC said.
