Fire damaged valuables of two grocery shops at Sher Shah Bangla Bazar in Chittagong city on Friday.
The fire originated from an electric short circuit at one of the shops around 3:25am and spread to the other, said Humayun Kabir of Agrabad Fire Service Control Room.
On information, fire fighters rushed there and doused the blaze. The extent of damage caused by the fire was estimated at Tk 2 lakh, he said.
