Two robbers arrested in Brahmanbaria

Police have arrested two robbers in Bijoynagar upazila of Brahmanbaria with the help of locals on Tuesday.
The arrested robbers are Ujjal Mia, 30, son of Solaiman member of Haor Khola village of Pattan union of the upazila and Ashiq Mia, 35, son of Md Kala Mia of Haripur village of Nasirnagar upazila of the district.
The robbery took place at Binighat village in Budhanti union.
In this regard, Ranjan Kumar Ghosh, in-charge of Islampur police outpost, said that Eid-ul-Azha (Eid-ul-Adha) is a big religious festival of Muslims.
With this in front of them, the gangs who robbed the houses of those who had cows and attacked them to take the cows, now it is rainy season, so the robbed cows are picked up by the boat and taken to their destination,
 In this context, a gang of robbers came to take cows from Babul Miah’s barn in Binnighat village.
Sensing the presence of a robber, one Babul and his 4 brothers woke up and the villagers rushed to the spot and started arguing with the robbers.
Calling the Islampur outpost at the moment, the police rescued them from the clutches of the robbers and were able to catch the two robbers in handcuffs.
The rest of the robbers fled. The villagers and many others were injured at the time, the injured were given first aid at the hospital. During this time, they seized the engine-driven boat used in the robbery. A robbery preparation case was filed in this regard and they were sent to jail.
Note that there are a total of 8 cases including 6 robbery cases against different robber Ashik.
