Chittagong Development Authority (CDA) has taken initiatives for developing two more residential projects in the port city .
These two proposed residential projects are one at Arefin Nagar under Baizid thana area and another at Oxygen-Kuwaish adjoining areas of Chandgaon thana adjoining areas of Annayanna residential project.
Besides, under the direct supervision of the Ministry of Housing and Public Works, CDA will take projects of one Residential dormitory building and two residential-cum-commercial building in the city. Minister for Housing and Public Works Engr. Mosharaf Hossain disclosed it while visiting the proposed project sites on Thursday .
CDA chairman Abdus Salam and CDA Board Member Younus Gani chowdhury accompanied the minister during the visit, sources said.

Huge contraband cigars seized at Ctg Airport
Airport Customs intelligence of Chittagong Shah Amanat International Airport seized huge quantities of contraband foreign cigarettes on Wednesday evening .
Asstt. Director of Customs (Investigation) Md.Mokadas hossain told that acting on secret information , customs officials seized a consignment of cigars . The cigar consignment came from Dubai by a cargo flight of Ithehad Airways .
Sources said the consignment contains 1,019 cartoons of foreign brand cigars worth about Tk.50 lakh, sources said.
