Staff Reporter :Two more women, including a housewife, have allegedly been gang raped in a span of only four hours in Dhaka and Chittagong.Of them, the housewife was violated by a gang of four confining her in a house at Mirbagh of Moghbazar under Ramna police station in the small hours of Friday. She was admitted to One Stop Crisis Centre in Dhaka Medical College and Hospital yesterday evening in a critical condition.Police arrested one Hasan in connection with the incident of gang rape. The victim told the newsmen that Hasan forcibly took her to the second floor of a building adjacent to rickshaw garage of Ashraf Hossain and confined her in a room at about 2:00am. After that, three-four men raped her one after another.The victim lodged the complaint with Ramna police station on Friday morning.”The victim lives in a house beside the rickshaw garage. Police have arrested Hasan, but other accused managed to flee away. Her medical test will be conducted on Saturday. We will take stern action after getting medical report,” Sub Inspector of Ramna police station Mohiuddin said.Meanwhile, an indigenous girl was gang raped at Sitakunda in Chittagong in the small hours of Friday. She was picked up by a gang of seven criminals earlier night and taken to a hill at the east side of Kumira Gul Ahmed Jute Mills. Later, the abductors raped her one after another.Police being informed by local people rescued the victim yesterday morning and brought her to the local police station. But the law enforcers failed to nab anyone in connection with the incident. The victim filed a case with the concerned police station in this connection.
