Two people killed and ten were injured in a road accident on Rangpur- Dhaka highway at 9.30 on Sunday morning at Boiragigonj area under Mithapukur Upazilla of the district.
Borodarogah highway police in-charge, HJafizur Rhaman said, a Lalmonirhat bound bus hailed from Bogra – Tuna Paribhahan collided head on with a Bogra bound truck on the highway leaving two people killed and ten injured on the spot.
One of the deceased was identified as- Manik Miah, 30 s/o Abdus Samad resident of Jourampur Anowara village under Payrabondh union of Mithapkur upazilla while the rest could not be identified.
The injured were admitted at Mithapukur health complex and Rangpur Medical College Hopsital.
The officer in charge of Mithapukur police station [Investigation] Mohammad Aziz confirmed the accident.
