At least two people were killed and 11 others injured, in a road accident in Kashiganj area on Mymensingh-Netrokona road under Tarakanda upazila of the district this morning.
The victims including the driver of the private car could not be identified till filing this report.
The accident took place when a Mymensingh-bound bus from Jaria in Netrokona collided head on with a private car coming from opposite direction at Kashiganj, killing two passengers of the car on the spot and injuring 11 others of both vehicles around 11 am, police said.
The passengers of the private car were returning home in Netrokona from abroad, said Ali Ahmed Mollah, officer-in-charge of Tarakanda Police Station.
Of the injured, three passengers of the car was admitted at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital in critical condition, police said.
