A leader of Islami Andalan and another youth were killed and two others wounded in a road mishap at Chhatiantala under Bagharpara upazila in Jessore at around 5 am on Friday.
The dead were identified as Abu Zafar, 32, vice president, Jessore sadar upazila unit Islami Andalan and also son of Saifullah Mollah of Sheikhhati under Kotwali police station and Hafiz Borhan Uddin,30, son of Solaiman Mina of Nurpur under Kotwali police station in Jessore.
The wounded, passengers of the private car- Tabibur Rahman Tamim,21 Rajghar under Nawapara industrial town and Abu Jar,18 of Shalikha in Magura district.
The accident took place as the private car, in which the victims were coming towards Jessore, collided head on wounding the four passengers of the private car.
Wahiduzzaman, officer in-charge (investigation), Bagharpara police station told that the accident took place as the Jessore- bound private car collided head on with a truck coming from the opposite direction while the four were coming from a waz mahfil in Barishal by the car at around 5am on Friday. The two died on way to the hospital.
