Two killed in incidents

A schoolboy and a rickshaw puller were killed in separate incidents in the city and district early Thursday.
The deceased were identified as Sajal Khan Sagor, 11 and Mohammad Likat, 25.
Sources concerned said Sagar, a PSC examinee, went out of his house with one of his friends on Tuesday to attend a Milad mahfil but did not return home till Wednesday.
Locals found his body floating in a canal in Burumchara area and informed the police early in the morning.
Later, police recovered the body and sent it to the morgue for autopsy.
In another incident, Liakat tried to commit suicide by himself with the ceiling fan of his rented house in Aturar Depot area under city’s Baizid thana.
Locals rushed him to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH), where attending doctors declared him dead.
4 arms dealers held
Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-7) in a drive arrested four arms dealers along with fire arms from Chandragona Union under Rangunia upazila on Thursday afternoon.
Sources concerned said acting on a tip-off, a team of RAB-7 conducted a drive in Lichu Bagan area of the union under the district and arrested them along with fire arms around 1:00pm.
RAB seized a pistol, a short gun, two rifles and ammunitions during the drive, added the sources.
