Two killed as villagers clash in Benapole

Two people including a former member of Bahadurpur union council were killed and four others wounded in a clash between two groups of villagers over cutting of a fallen tree at Raghunathpur village under Benapole port police station on Friday morning.
The dead were identified as Md Abdullah, 52, ex-member, Bahadurpur union council and Shamsur Rahman, 40 of Raghunathpur village under Benapole port police station, said Apurba Hasan, officer in-charge, Benapole port police station.
The wounded Sumon, 23, son of ex-UP member Abdullah, Asgar Ali,35, son of Sagir Uddin, M Abdullah , 35, son of Sarjul Haque and Hafizur Rahman, 35, son of Golam Sarder, all of Raghunathpur village were rushed to Jessore Medical College Hospital and Sharsha Burujbagan Hospital.
