Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) in separate drives detained two persons with contraband yaba tablets and country-made liquors from city’s Chawkbazar and Patenga areas on Monday night.
The arrested were identified as Ali Hossain, 30, and Mohammad Manju alias Danu, 27.
Chawkbazar Police picked up Ali with 200 pieces of yaba tablets from Chawkbazar intersection around 12am.
Besides, Patenga Police arrested Manju with 16 litres of country-made liquors from Dhoompara area of Katgarh under city’s Patenga thana around 10.30 pm, said Ruhul Amin, Sub-Inspector (SI) of Patenga Police Station.
Two cases were filed in these connections.
