Police have held two teenagers for selling ‘fake question papers’ on social media. A team of detectives picked up Shahidul Islam and Golam Sarwar Sajid-both 18-year-old-from Dhaka’s Moghbazar on Friday.
The boys operated with pseudonyms on Facebook messenger and WhatsApp, DMP Deputy Commissioner Masudur Rahman said.
They used to sell out what they call ‘100 percent common questions’ for different board exams, he said.
“Golam Sarwar is the administrator of ‘Hello Brothers’ group on Facebook messenger where he often writes down posts guaranteeing ‘common questions’ for exams.”
Police have seized their mobile phones and SIM cards. Both were named in multiple cases filed with Ramna Police Station, DC Masud told bdnews24.com.
Leaks of exam questions through messaging apps and social media have recently been making headlines.
