A team of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested two persons on charge of producing fake documents, fake certificate and license in the capital’s Demra area on Friday dawn.  
The RAB also seized a huge numbers of fake certificates, licenses, including BRTC driving licenses, legal documents and digital plates from their home.
The accused have been identified as Md Zakir Hossain Babul, 32, son of Abdul Mannan from Chandpur, and Md Masud Hawlader, 34, son of late Momin Uddin, from Gazipur.
The RAB-10 team conducted a drive at Konapara from 12:30am to 5:30am and picked up Babul and Masud.
When the RAB officials interrogated them, the culprits disclosed everything of what they committed. Later fake certificates of public and private universities and colleges, licenses, including BRTC driving licenses, legal documents, and digital plates were recovered.
Md Shahibuddin Khan, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of RAB-10 in a press briefing on Friday said that the accused had been involved with forgery for a long time.
One of the two, Babul first started a business selling signboards, banners and rubber stamps . But in 2003, he became involved with making and selling forged mark sheets and certificates of different universities and education boards.
Confessesing to their crimes, the criminals said that they used to sell these forged documents and items for Tk 500-2000, he said.
The law enforcing agencies are looking also for other accomplices of Babul and Masud, Shahibuddin Khan said.
A case will be filed with Demra Police Station in this regard.
