A college girl at Charkhanam under Charmonai union in Sadar upazila of Barisal and a school girl at Tutakhali under Dauatala union in Bamna upazila of Barguna district committed suicide on Friday.Family sources said Mitu Khanam, 18, HSC student of Saheber Hut College and daughter of Khorshed Alam of Charkhanam committed suicide by hanging from rooftop of the residence at about 1:30 pm Friday.Nasiruddin Sohag, maternal uncle of Mitu Khanam, said Mitu was engaged in love with Bahadur of nearby Char Bukhainagor village since last four years. Recently the relationship flashed before the both families. However Raja Mia, father of Bahadur denying accepting the relationship threatened family members of Mitu.
