August 15, 1975 marks one of the most tragic days in the history of Bangladesh. On this day, Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was brutally assassinated along with his family. On the occasion of this National Mourning Day,

and Mohammad Farid Uddin,
said a press release.
Bangabandhu’s younger son, Sheikh Russell, was only 10 years old when he was mercilessly killed. He was a fourth grade student of The University Laboratory School. According to Sahid Rahman, the last words uttered by Sheikh Russell were: “I will go to mother.”The story of Sheikh Russell will be highlighted in the project. This fiction features Tarin Jahan, Fazlur Rahman Babu, Saberi Alam, Sabiha Zaman, Dihan and Sanjid. It will be aired on RTV on August 15 (today) at 8:00pm.

The story focuses on the 70-year-old Kafiluddin, who spends 26 years of his life barefoot, wearing black clothes and abstaining from eating any animal meat-thereby showcasing his genuine love for the Father of the Nation.
Inspired by Bangabandhu’s historic speech on March 7, 1971, Kafiluddin took part in the Liberation War.
Gazi Rakayet, Ahmed Rubel, Rokeya Prachy and others have acted in this particular venture. Selina Hossain, the eminent novelist, has also played a special role in the project.
