Though father-in-law did not cross the primary boundary, but he prescribed the general patients as the guise of expert where his only ten-pass son-in-law provide the medicine without sufficient knowledge.
In this way, Nur Hossain and his son in law Zahidul Islam were playing with the life of general patients in the capital city by opening a fake dental institution for a long time.
However, lastly they couldn’t save themselves; a special operation by the elite force Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) caught their fancy deception on Monday.
A mobile court has sentenced Md Nur Hossain for two years and Md Jahidul Islam for one year for committing the offence as well as practicing medicine without valid permits.
Confirming the matter, RAB-3 Executive Magistrate Palash Kumar Basu said the two men were arrested in a raid conducted by RAB at Panchagar Dental clinic in city’s Khilgaon area.
“They were practicing medicine and treating people using other doctors’ registration numbers. They obtained no degree on the subject,” Magistrate said.
Even they used to write prescriptions on pads, named after a doctor Jihan Kabir, for a long time.
“When Jihan was asked on this issue, he said that he had told the men not to use his name for their prescriptions, but they dint care it”, the magistrate further added.
