Staff Reporter :Two persons were crushed under the wheels of a train in the city’s Banani area on Saturday morning.One of the victims has been identified as Mizan, 50, while the other, a blind man around 45 years, is yet to be identified.Kamlapur Railway Police Assistant Sub-Inspector Ali Akbar said, “The accident took place around 8:00am at the level crossing at the capital’s Banani when the Chittagong-bound ‘Mahanagar Provati’ train was passing.”Police rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies, the ASI said.”We suspect Mizan was trying to save the blind person, he said.
