Two college girl students committed suicide for making bad result figure in the HSC exam in Jhenidah on Wednesday night.
The victims are Nandita Das,18 daughter of Montu Das of Bejpara village and Leya Khatun, 18 duaghter of Abdul Malek of Jhanjhania village under Kaliganj upazila of the district. Nandita was the student of Mahtab Uddin Degree college in Kaliganj upazila while Leya was the student of Kazi Nazrul Islam Degree college in Jessore. Both the candidates belong to Humanities group.
Family member of Nandita Das said, after appearing at the English exam she told that she has not done well in the exam due to stiff question. Accordingly, she has plucked in English. Due to failing in the exam she has committed suicide.
Officer- i charge Anwar Hossain of Kaliganj police station said, both the HSC examinees have failed in English exams-2014. Fearing shame they commit suicide. Of them Nandita hanged herself with crossbar of the varanda while Leya drank poison. Both the body have been sent to Jhenidah sadar hospital for post mortem.
