A 3 -year old female baby was allegedly violated by a young man in the village Bara Paikpara within Rkhalgachi Union Parishad under Sadar Upazila in Bagerhat on Wednesday noon.
In this connection a case was lodged with Bagerhat Model PS on Friday against the accused named Shaikh Abdur Rahman Babu (14), son of one Shaikh Mijanur Rahman of the village on the charge of attempted to commit rape on the baby. On Thursday, the victim was admitted to Bagerhat Sadar Hospital. The accused was arrested by the police on Friday night from his residence.
Mother of the victim baby told the newsmen in the hospital, on the day she went out of the house for collecting paddy from the paddy fields keeping her daughter alone in the residence. The baby went to the adjacent residence to play with some one. But the rapist, son of the house owner allured her with the promise of giving her jack fruit and a mobile set and took her into his room where the boy committed rape on her forcibly. Dr. Arun Chandra Mondol, Civil Surgeon , Bagerhat told the newsmen that when the baby girl was admitted to the hospital on Thursday, she was ill and she is now under treatment and she is improving gradually.
Mahatab Uddin, Officer-in-charge , Bagerhat Model PS told the newsmen, we recorded the case against the accused boy.
Another report states that a 5 -year old female child was violated by a debauched in the village Baraipara within Baintala Union Parishad under Rampal Upazila in Bagerhat district on May 4. In this connection a case was registered with Rampal PS.
Belayet Hossain, OC of Rampal PS and Abdullah Fakir, UP Chairman of Baimntala Union told that a 5 -year old daughter of man of village Baraipara was violated by a debauched named Abdul Khalek of the same area forcibly. After the incident the girl was brought to me and I then there sent her to Rampal PS where a case was recorded against the rapist.
