Sylhet Bureau :
Two children drowned in a waterbody at Uttar Bir village in Dharmapasha upazila on Sunday noon.
The deceased were identified as Modakkir Mia, 3, son of Bappi Mia and his cousin Md Montahar, 2, son of Arif Mia of Uttor Bir village.
Locals said the two boys slipped into the waterbody while playing near it.
Locals rescued them around 12 pm and took them to Upazila Health Complex where doctors declared them dead, said Selbaras union parishad chairman Md Nur Hossain.
