Bagerhat Correspondent :
A dead body of Mamun Paloan (32) was recovered from a dark, narrow and small lane of Kachu Patty (old Shupari Patty) in Bagerhat district town by the police on Thursday evening.
The dead body was found hanging with a window of a tin shed. He was the son of one Dhalu Ploan of local Railway station area.
It is reported that the deceased was drug addicted. Very often he used to extort money from the fish sellers and fish traders of the local fish market and now and then he misbehaved with them. On the day in the evening he physically assaulted a fish trader of the market. As a mark of protest fish sellers and fish traders closed their shops and went to Bagerhat Pourashava to lodge a complaint with Mayor Khan Habibur Rahman against the deceased. As the Mayor was absent they were waiting there for him. In the mean time it was reported that Mamun Paloan committed suicide by hanging himself.
Being informed of the matter police of Bagerhat Model PS rushed to the spot, recovered the dead body and sent the same to Bagerhat Sadar Hospital for its autopsy. Police guessed that he, perhaps, committed suicide.

According to his wife Ankhi Sheel, her husband was beaten to death by his enemies and kept the dead body there after pouring poison in his mouth so that people can guess that he committed suicide. Ankhi Sheel disclosed, an enmity had been prevailing between her husband and her brother-in-law (sister’s husband) Hridoy over land properties for long.
