Two staff of Barisal City Corporation (BCC) have been suspended and one was noticed to show cause on Thursday for their negligence in cleaning garbage of sacrificed animals in the city after three days of Eid Ul Ajha festival.
The suspended staffs were Anwar Hossain and Shafikul Azam, supervisors and show caused staff was Rezaul Karim, inspector, sweeping and cleaning department, said Abul Hossain, administrative officer of BCC.
BCC sources said Ahsan Habib Kamal, BCC Mayor during visiting city main roads on Thursday noon found garbage of stocked on roadside near Government Girls School corner at Bogura Road and Government Barisal College corner at Kalibari Road areas in city center.
Then the BCC Mayor asked the administration to take action against the concerned staffs for their negligence in duty failing to clear garbage of Eid- ul- Azha festival timely, the AO of BCC told.
