Two persons were arrested along with 400 kgs of copper coil of under construction Bangladesh-India Maitry Rampal coal based power plant in Bagerhat district by the Ansars on duty at the gate of the power plant on Wednesday.
It is stated that at the night the copper coil hidden into the chassis of a truck and when it was leaving the power plant area it was halted by the Ansaras on duty at the main gate. Then they (Ansars) searched the truck, recovered the copper coil (400 kgs) and arrested two along with truck and coil. The arrestees are driver Kamal Hossain and helper Mehedi Hasan.
