The bodies of two twin babies – Rimi and Jhimi, 4, daughters of Shahidul Islam of Dhaldah village under Sharsha were recovered from a pond on Monday morning.
The babies drowned in a nearby pond of the residence of the victims at Dhaldah village while they were playing, said Golam Kausar, member, Ulashi union council under the upazila. The bodies were found floating in the pond after searching here and there, locals said. The sad demise of the minor children shocked the area after recovery of the bodies.
