Tushar slams 220 as South Zone post mammoth 501 on day 2 in BCL

Tushar Imran slammed a magnificent 220 as South Zone rattled up a mammoth 501 in their first innings against North Zone on the second day of the fourth round of four-day Bangladesh Cricket League on Sunday at BKSP ground -2.
In reply, North Zone in their first innings struggled to score 107 for 4 when the stumps were drawn on the second day’s play.
South Zone resumed today at overnight score of 292 for 3. Overnight batsman Tushar Imran who began the second at his impressive 127 runs from 234 balls laced with 14 boundaries went on to notch a superb double ton off 369 balls laced with 22 delightful boundaries and three towering sixers.
While the other not out batsman Shahriar Nafees batting on 50, fell for 74 runs not before adding 215 runs for the fourth wicket partnership with Tushar Imran.
Anamul Haque (39), Imrul Kayes (31) and Soumya Sarkar (26) and Mossadek with 57 was other notable South Zone batsman as they were bowled out for a massive 501.
Suharwardi Shuvo was the pick of the North Zone bowler with 4 for 105. Nasir Hossain and Sunzamul Islam chipped in with two wickets each.
North Zone were soon in trouble while batting in their first innings, despite 62 runs opening partnership, they were reeling at 107 for 4 when the stumps were drawn for the day still trailing by 394 runs.
