The Turkish government will construct shelter homes for one lakh Rohingya refugees who have taken shelter in Bangladesh amid Myanmar persecution.
Disaster Management and Relief Minister Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya, came up with the information while talking to reporters after a meeting with the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TCCA) Coordinator Ahmed Rafiq at the secretariat on Sunday.
During the meeting, Ahmed Rafiq said that his government will stand beside Bangladesh in resolving the Rohingya issue.
Besides, the Turkish government will provide 10,000 packets consisting of 13 relief items for the Rohingyas soon, said Maya.
They also discussed the bilateral relationship between the two countries, he said.
