Everybody can easily relate the name of lyricist Tarun Munshi for the popular song titled Tumi Akasher Buke Bishalotar Upoma. Popular singer Khalid rendered the song. Three decades ago, this song created hype among the music-lovers. As a part of time frame, this song has become one of the legendary songs. Only for this song Tarun Munshi will remain hearts of many music-lovers forever. James’ popular songs Dekhe Jare Tui, Khoda Bhogoban Ishwar and Aro Kichhukkhon Robe Ki Bondhu were also written by Tarun Munshi. Therefore, all the songs of Asif Akbar’s musical movie Gohiner Gaan were also written by Tarun Munshi.
In 2014, Tarun Munshi formed a band group named Torun Band. Under the banner of this band, his written several songs – Aboni Bari Achho, Swarthopor, Kosto Benche Khai, Unlucky Thirteen, Kichhu Kichhu Number Theke Ar Ashbena Kono Phone became popular to all. Basically Tarun Munshi own written songs uploaded his own YouTube channel, Tarun Munshi.
While talking about his music career Tarun Munshi told this correspondent, “Respected Azam Khan and Lucky Akhond were my inspiration in music. I worked in an airline company for long time. But music remains in my mind. My mother rendered song. I have many dreams with music. I want establish my YouTube channel.”
In the beginning of 90s, Tarun Munshi worked with band Raiders. From 1995 to 2014, he worked with band, The Trap. He completed masters in Management from Jagannath College. Doctor Rahnuma Mostafa is his wife and Zara is their only daughter.
