Tultul awarded Mohatma Gandhi peace award

Staff Reporter: Shammi Tultul, a young author of numbers of books awarded with Mohatma Gandhi peace award.
Mohatma Gandhi Research Council awarded Tultul with this prestigious medal on her precious contributions on literatures.
The award giving ceremony held on October 2, at Bangladesh Shishu Kalyan Parishad Hall room in Topkhana Road, in the capital on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Gandhi.
Professor Dr. Nazmul Ahsan Kalimullah, Chairman Janipop and Former Vice-Chancellor Begum Rokeya University was present as the Chief Guest while Sarwar Wadud Chowdhury, Chairman of Peace Forum, Dr. Uttam Kumar Barua, President Bangabandhu Gobeshona Songsad and other guests were present.
Tultul, the young writer, living in the port city of Chittagong, honored by several awards for her work on literatures.
Shammi Tultul at once is an author, novelist, children litterateur and recite artist.
She also is working as an Ambassador of Pathagar Andolon Bangladesh.
She is working as a Programme Director of Bangladesh Betar, Chittagong center.
She has a vast work on literatures.
Her novel on the Liberation War of Bangladesh is Chorabalir Basinda.
Padmabu,Manjuari, Ekjon Quddus O Kobi Nazrul, Nantu Jhantur Box Rahasya and Chande Jawar passport, got huge response among the readers.
Shammi Tultul said that she become emotional getting the prestigious award.
She said, Mahatma Gandhi was a non-communal leader and me also a member of a freedom fighter.
“I always trying to uphold the sprit of the liberation war through my writings,” Shammi said.

She also remembered her late mother who always concerned about Tultul’s disinterests in studies.
