Comfortable and modern facility enriched taxi cabs will be operated in the port city from today.
In first phase of the new taxi service, 26 cabs will operate here from today. Roads and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader MP formally inaugurated the tax cab service under the management of Army Welfare Trust Transport Service , Chittagong .
The minister inaugurated the service at cantonment by handing over three keys of the newly imported cabs to driver at Cantonment at East Bengal Regiment Auditorium ground in Chitagong yesterday as Chief Guest.
This new service of taxi cab service is introduced as a part of 600 new taxi cabs for Dhaka and Chittagong.
Sources said out of 600 taxi cabs, 150 will be deployed in Chittagong and the rest for Dhaka city.
