A labourer was killed and 11 others were injured when a truck loaded with paddy plunged into a roadside ditch on the Dhaka-Bogra highway in Raiganj upazila on Thursday night.
Abdul Kader Zilani, officer-in-charge of Hatikumrul Police Station, said a Sirajganj-bound paddy-laden truck from Naogaon plunged into a roadside ditch as its driver lost control over the steering at night, leaving 12 labourers on board injured.
The injured were rushed to a local hospital where doctors pronounced one Raham Ali dead.
