District Muktijoddha Command Council(DMCC) on Friday paid rich tributes to the seven martyrs who laid down their lives in 1971 in Karimpur battle against the Pakistani occupation army.
In this connection, the DMCC chalked out elaborate programmes included special prayer, discussion meeting and placing of floral wreaths at the mass graveyard inside Sheikh Jamal stadium. The programme was attended, among others, by ADC (Education & ICT) Eradul Haque, Faridpur command council chairman Abul Faez, secretary Nazrul Islam and other freedom fighters.
The freedom fighters who laid down their lives in Karimpur battle were Kazi Salauddin Nasim, Mesbahuddin Nowfel, Abdul Wahab, Shamsuddin Molla, Mainuddin, Abdul Hamid and Mujibur Rahman.
