Tribunal seeks fresh report to arrest M’bazar Razakars

The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-1 on Tuesday asked police to submit a proper report on execution of arrest warrant it had issued against three Moulvibazar Razakars.
Justice Anwarul Haque, chairman of the three-member panel of the ICT-1, set October 18 for further order in this case.
Of the four accused in the case only Akmal Ali Talukder, 76, is in jail after getting arrested in November 25, 2015. Other three accused Anis Miah, 76, Abdun Nur Talukder alias Lal Miah, 62, and Abdul Musabbir Miah, 64, are still on run and the tribunal had asked for a report on execution of the arrest warrant it had issued on November 25.
Earlier on May 31, 2016, the prosecution submitted formal charge against the accused, bringing two charges of crimes against humanity.
The charges are for killing 59 people in one incident and gunning down another two in another incident, prosecutor Sheikh Moshfeq Kabir told BSS.
