Police arrested a young tribal with a pistol and two rounds of bullets from Charbangalia frontier area in Haluaghat upazila of the district on Thursday.
The arrested tribal is Subesh Chisim, 25, alias Besh, son of Aurjon Toju of the upazila.
On information, a team of Detective Branch (DB) of police raided the area and arrested Subesh with a pistol and two bullets from his procession while he trying to flee from the area sensing the presence of members of law enforcement agency, police said. The arrestee was handed over to Haluaghat thana.
A case was lodged against him under the Arms Act with Haluaghat thana in this connection.
