Speakers at a discussion marking the 18th anniversary of bombing incidents at the cultural function of the 12th National Convention cultural organization Udichi Shilpi Goshthi, demanded exemplary punishments to the exact killers.
The cultural organization observed the day with elaborate programmes including include wearing of black badges, placing wreath at the memorial, lighting up candle, condolence meeting, blood donation and cultural functions at Munshi Meherullah Maidan on Monday.
10 persons were killed and over 150 were injured in two separate bomb explosions at the cultural function of the 12th National Convention of cultural organization at Munshi Meherullah Maidan at around 1am on 7th March in 1999.
DM Shahiduzzaman, president, Udichi Shilpi Goshthi, Jessore district unit chaired the discussion held at Raushan Ali Monch in Munshi Meherullah Maidan on Monday night.
