Trial of three sons and three daughter-in-laws begins in a court of Chittagong following the killing attempt of mother yesterday.
These three sons tried tokill their mother of aged about 80 years being greedy of grabbing the land properties. Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Md.Moshiur Rahman Chowdhury directed to begin the trials after framing charges against six accused including three sons and a daughter in-law.
The accused six are Nurul Islam(40) and his wife Shamim Akhter(33), NurAlam (38) and his wife Parvin Akhter (30) , Nur Hossain(25) and his wife Beauty Akhter(20). Counsel of the plaintiff Advocate Habibur Rahman Azad told that court framed charge sheet against three sons and their wives under section 307, 323, 324 and 506 . The time for deposition of the witnesses will be fixed later on, sources said.
Court sources said the victim Rowshan Ara Begum wife of lateNuruddin Driver lodged a complaint before the CMM court on February 26last against her three sons and three daughter in laws for indiscriminate beating upon him after hacking her due to non-agree on hand over her 2.50 decimal land in Halishahar area to her sons.
Case in connection was filed before the CMM court by the victim on February 26 last under section as mentioned above. court issued arrest of warrants in the meantime.
The accused surrendered before the court and prayed for bail but the court sent them to jail custody after rejecting their prayer, sources said.
