Tree Man undergoes another surgery

Abul Bajandar, known as Tree Man, who has been suffering from a rare Dermo Epidermal Dysplasia disease underwent another surgery in his left hand on Saturday, after one month of the successful surgery in the right hand, at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
Head of the Burn and Plastic Surgery Professor M Abul Kalam said that a nine-member medical team led by him conducted the operation. All the five fingers of the left hand suffered no complications during operation.
Chief Coordinator of the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery Dr Samanta Lal Sen was present, among others, during the operation.
M Abul Kalam said, his condition is now better than before and he is completely well.
Another similar operation will be performed in other parts of his body after three weeks of the second surgery, he said.
Abul Kalam hoped that the wart-like lesions growing in his hands and feet will be removed completely by such type of operations gradually.
On February 20, Bajandar underwent a successful surgery. All the five fingers
of his right hand were operated. Later, the doctors completed the dressing of his hand three times effectively.
Dubbed as a Tree Man because of wart-like lesions growing in his hands and feet, Abul Bajandar is the 3rd such patient in the world to be suffering from a rare Dermo Epidermal Dysplasia disease for the last 15 years.
