With a view to enhancing professional skills to develop energy sector in the country, a daylong training programme on “Petroleum Geo-science Skills Development” was held at Dhaka University (DU) on Thursday.
Department of Geology of DU in collaboration with Green Power Limited and Dimension Strata Company Limited of Brunei jointly organised the programme at Prof MA Latif Auditorium of Geology Department. Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr Akhtaruzzaman, High Commissioner of Brunei to Bangladesh Haji Haris bin Haji Othman, DU Earth and Environmental Sciences Faculty Dean Prof Dr ASM Maksud Kamal and Managing Director of Green Power Limited Shaikh Ehsanul Habib addressed the programme, among others, with Geology Department Chairperson Prof Dr M Aziz Hasan in the chair.
