The training programme of Financial Management Academy (FIMA) on “Financial Management Course” for 20 officers of Bangladesh Army in the rank of Lt Colonel and Major was concluded at its academy on Thursday.
Masud Ahmed, Comptroller and Auditor General of Bangladesh, was present as chief guest while Director General of FIMA, Mohammad Moslem Uddin presided over the programme.
Top officials from the Government Audit and Accounts department were present in the ceremony, says a press release.
The chief guest Masud Ahmed highly praised such a training programme and said, it would go a long way in promoting mutual understanding and cooperation between the two establishments, besides enhancing the skills of the concerned officials in financial management. He further said that the two establishments have a lot in common when it comes to financial management notwithstanding the fact that their domains are completely different.
