Vegetable Division of Horticulture Research Center of Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI) arranged a day-long farmers training on “vegetable production on rooftop garden” financial supported by strengthening research on horticultural crops and dissemination of horticultural and field crops technology at charland areas project at Seminar Room of Vegetable Division of the institute yesterday.
40 house owners from Dhaka and Gazipur districts have participated in the training programme. BARI Director General Dr. Abul Kalam Azad inaugurated the training as Chief Guest in the morning. BARI Director (Horticulture Research Centre) Dr. Abeda Khatun presided over the function while Director (Training and Communication) Zebun Nessa was present as special guest. Chief Scientific Officers of vegetable division Dr. Ferdousi Islam addressed the welcome speech. Senior scientists, officers, among others, were also present on the occasion.
