A 10-day long training for newly appointed officials of Bangladesh Bureau of Educational Information and Statistics (BANBEIS) began on Saturday at the bureau’s office in the city.
Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid inaugurated the training course titled “Training on Office Management Affairs” at the conference room of the BANBEIS, said an official release.
BANBEIS Director Md. Fashiullah presided over the inaugural function that was addressed by Secondary and Higher Education Division Secretary of Education Ministry Md Sohrab Hossain and Course Director SM Morshed Bipul.
Addressing the inaugural function, the minister said training is important to increase efficiency.
He urged the officials to make use of the knowledge to be acquired through the training for the country’s welfare.
“We are working with an aim of attaining SDGs, implementing ‘Vision-2021’ and making Bangladesh a develop country,” he said and urged the official to perform their duties with responsibility and sincerity.
A total 90 officials, appointed for Upazila ICT Training and Resource Center for Education (UITRCE), are taking part in the training programme, the release added.
