Training Course on “Public Relations, Media and Communication” ends at BIJEM

The concluding and certificate awarding ceremony of a 5-day long training course on ‘Public Relations, Media and Communication’ organized by Bangladesh Institute of Journalism and Electronic Media (BIJEM) was held on Sunday at the institute. Professor Dr. Md. Golam Rahman, Chief Information Commissioner of Information Commission was present as chief guest and distributed certificates among the participants.
Prof Golam Rahman said, “The role of public relations in the modern society is very important. Different organizations can improve their image and can solve their management crisis by using effective communication strategy and planning. He urged the public relations officer to establish deep relations with the media and to give more information as per Right to Information Act’.
Professor Mofizur Rhaman, Chairman, Dept. of Mass Communication and Journalism and Labanaya Ahmed, Director, Public Relations-02, Bangladesh National Parliament Secretariat were present as special guests. BIJEM Executive Director Mirza Tarequl Qader presided over the programme.
A total of 25 officers including Bangladesh Army, Bangladesh Navy, different universities and organizations took part in the course. Renowned journalists, PR experts and University’s teachers conducted the course.
