Training camp for Plan U-15 girls begins today

With a view to groom the stars of the future the Women’s Wing of Bangladesh Football Federation will host a training camp for 210 players selected from the Plan
Bangladesh U-15 Girls Football Championship that will start from today (Sunday) for developing women football in the country.
The five-day camp will be held in seven zones- Rajshahi, Sylhet, Kushtia, Nilphamari, Faridpur, Rangamati and Barishal-is comprised of 30 players each.
The girls of the camp will not only learn football but also gain experience of different issues-gender discrimination, domestic violence and leadership etc. from Plan Bangladesh experts.
In the March 8 the girls will observe World Women’s Day together after completing five days training.
After finishing the camp each venue will see the formation of two teams and the teams will play a knockout based tournament and the final match will be held at the Bangabandhu Stadium Dhaka on 28th March.
BFF Women wings deputy chairman Mahfuza Akter Kiron disclosed these in a press meet held on Saturday at the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) conference room.
BFF general secretary Abu Nayeem Sohag and other women wings officials also present in the occasion.
