Education is the backbone of any nation while professional training works as the driving force for achieving success in personal life as well as contribute to the national development.
The observations came at concluding ceremony of a 35-day technical training course for Ansar-VDP members on ‘Repairing & maintenance of mobile phone sets’ at Mahiganj Regional Vocational Training Centre here on Thursday afternoon.
The course was arranged for minimum SSC passed Ansar-VDP members of the 18-35 year age group under its Training Programme to turn them into skilled workforce for achieving self-reliant through income generation activities.
Twenty-four male Ansar-VDP platoon members from Rangpur, Dinajpur, Thakurgaon, Panchagarh, Naogaon and Chapainawabganj districts participated in the course to enhance their skills and expertise on mobile phone repairing and maintenance.
Rangpur Divisional Range Director of Ansar-VDP Kazi Shakhawat Hossain attended the concluding ceremony as the chief guest with District Commandant of Ansar-VDP and Camp Commander Abdus Samad in the chair.
The District Commandant of Ansar-VDP, Sadar Upazila Ansar-VDP Officer Saiful Islam, Technical Trainers Akmal Hossain Shimu and Mishelur Islam Mona conducted the training course as resource persons.
The chief guest said the Ansar-VDP members have been largely contributing to build congenial atmosphere for rural uplift through rendering sincere services, creating public awareness side by side curbing social crimes and curses.
Members of the country’s biggest volunteer organisation have already become the prime driving force to accelerate rural uplift and eradicate poverty in building a middle income digital Bangladesh by 2021, and subsequently a developed country by 2041, he said.
He called upon the participants to properly utilise the knowledge and skill they acquired from the course in achieving self-reliance to lead better life and serve the nation with utmost dedication and sincerity in building a prosperous country.
