A traffic constable was killed in a road accident at Banani in the city on Thursday afternoon.
The accident occurred around 4.45pm when a passenger bus of Ena Paribahan hit on-duty constable Mozaffor Hossain, 42, in front of Swadhin Bangla Filling Station at Banani, duty officer sub-inspector Farida Parvin of Banani Police Station told BSS.
The critically injured constable was rushed to Metropolitan Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries , she said.
His batch number is 28136 and he is under Mohakhali traffic police. Details of his identity could not be known immediately.
The bus managed to flee the scene.
