Traffic congestion from the central Shaheed Minar in the heart of Chitalmari Upazila through Basic Bank Road in the north to Upazila Mor and Thana Road in the south to Bara Bridge is now a constant suffering for the people of Chitalmari. Sometimes it takes 30 to 40 minutes to take this five minute journey at different times of the day. And such a reality has become a constant companion for the people of Chitalmari.
The victims of the traffic jam on the road at the Chowrangi junction are people of all walks of life. The main reason of heavy traffic at this busiest intersection every day are the van stands, Mahindra stands, auto stands as well as sidewalk shops.
