Trade Support Centre for women in Rangpur

The government is going to launch a ‘Trade Support Centre’ in Rangpur to provide training to women to help them producing export items suiting to global standard.
From the center women entrepreneurs will easily get the latest information and data related to import and export to boost up their business at home and abroad.
It was told at a workshop on ‘Support to Women Traders to Promote Exports and Up-gradation of Bangladesh Trade Portal (BTP)’ held at Rangpur Chamber auditorium on Saturday.
Ministry of Commerce with assistance of Rangpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) and World Bank organised the workshop under Bangladesh Regional Connectivity Project (BRCP)-1.
Women entrepreneurs and traders, chamber leaders and officials of National Association of Small and Cottage Industries of Bangladesh from allover Rangpur division took part in the workshop.
Joint secretary of the Ministry of Commerce and Director of WTO Cell Hamidur Rahman Khan attended the workshop as chief guest while joint Secretary of Ministry of Commerce Hemayet Uddin was in the chair.
